The EPL Version

Strikers is a gaming platform providing an unparalleled experience for English Premier League (EPL) fans. The platform is built around the concept of issuing dynamic NFTs (Athlete Cards) that represent soccer players from the league.

Prior to the start of each season, Strikers DAO mints Athlete Card NFTs, each representing a player in the EPL with the aim to track players’ performance. Athlete Cards can be sold back to Strikers during or at the end of the season for the initial price. These cards have no value outside of the Strikers platform, are used exclusively to track the performance of athletes, are unique in design, and burnt at the end of the season. They cannot be resold.

In addition to Athlete Cards, Strikers also issues Strikers Passes. These NFTs serve as governance tokens, reward users for successful and profitable contributions to Strikers, unlock access to Strikers’s DAO platform, and provide access to a token-gated prediction game for one season. Strikers Passes are valid as governance tokens forever. They also carry the rights for rewards as long as the Pass holder’s proposed idea is executed and active in the platform. However, their unlocking features are valid only for one sport for one season. To unlock token-gated features for new seasons, a new season pass must be purchased for each sport. For each sports, a separate pass will be required to access prediction games. They can be purchased in the Strikers marketplace or on other marketplaces like OpenSea. Strikers Passes have no supply cap.

Any Athlete Cards that have not been sold back to Strikers DAO are burnt. Users have 30 days at the end of the season to sell their Athlete Cards back.

Strikers Passes, on the other hand, can be withdrawn at any time but will lose their feature-unlocking ability while outside the Strikers wallet. Strikers Passes are granted 1 (one) perpetual voting right, but failure to participate in five consecutive votes results in the deactivation of their pass and loss of all associated features. The metadata for the deactivated pass will be updated to display the label "Disabled." To reactivate the pass, users will be required to pay 20% of the original purchase price. Upon payment, the pass will be restored to full functionality. This system offers a straightforward approach to incentivize participation and maintain pass activation for users.

Athlete Cards

Strikers will be creating its own original artwork of soccer players instead of using licensed images, which provides several potential advantages:

  1. Uniqueness and originality: Strikers’ artwork will be unique and original.
  2. Athlete Cards will be numbered, not named.
  3. Creative freedom: By creating its own artwork, Strikers has complete creative freedom to interpret the player in a unique style and vision.
  4. Athlete rights: Generally, athletes have certain rights of publicity and privacy that can limit the use of their names, images, voice, signature, distinct personal attributes, and likeness without their permission. Additionally, sports leagues and organizations may have their own rules and regulations governing the use of their athletes’ images and other intellectual property. However, Strikers uses Athlete Cards to track the performance of athletes, which have no value outside of Strikers. Furthermore, Strikers buys them back from users for the same price they were purchased for and burns all Athlete Cards at the end of the season. In addition to being unique, used as a parody, numbered instead of named, having no collector value, and implementing a burning mechanism, Strikers uses paid licensed API subscriptions to collect athlete names and statistics to display on its web and mobile applications.

Strikers intends to utilize AI technology and employ a team of skilled designers to create unique Athlete Cards. An unlimited number of each Athlete Card will be minted, with the initial price based on the transfer market value of the player. The initial selling price is determined by the transfer market value of the player multiplied by 0.0001%.

Primary sales occur on the Strikers marketplace. At the end of the season, users have 30 calendar days to sell Athlete Cards back to Strikers for their initial price. If they fail to sell them back, then the cards are burnt without reimbursing users.

All Athlete Cards will be burnt 30 days after the end of the season, regardless of whether they were sold back to Strikers or not.

All Athlete Cards are time-locked in Strikers wallets until the end of the season. Athlete Cards can be purchased and sold back to Strikers only.

There is no pre-set maximum supply of these cards. All Athlete Cards are pre-minted at the beginning of the season. They do not unlock any features and do not provide any governance rights. Users can purchase them throughout the season and start earning points from the time they purchase Athlete Cards. Historical performance of Athlete Cards have no effect for new purchases.

Strikers guarantees the initial sale value of Athlete Cards at all times.

To receive points, the user must keep ownership of the Athlete Cards until the end of the gameweek in which the athlete participated. However, if the gameweek is rescheduled and the user does not retain ownership of the NFT until the rescheduled time, they will not earn points for that athlete during that particular gameweek.
